Interesting Obama Video on YouTube

While I don't agree with everything said on this video (or how it is said) it does raise many points that we Obama supporters wish Obama's campaign ads would address.

I'm an Obama supporter, and I can't stand this video. There's nothing in the video that is relevant to my neighbor losing her job. I didn't see anything that resolved my cousin's foreclosed home. These personal attacks, implicit or explicit, are not needed in our country.

Something for you to think about (and whomever that watches this video). Let's say that for some reason Palin's daughter was raped. The daughter, ashamed of what happened to her, covered up this fact. She becomes pregnant. So not only would she (hypothetically) be dealing with the rape of her body, but also the smears of her mother's political adversaries. By no means am I saying that she was raped--I seriously doubt that she was. But you never know. This is why we should leave the family out of the equation.

As I said, I don't necessarily agree with everything the video says. But, it does point out that the GOP seems to believe that it has cornered the market on patriotism, godliness and normalcy. There is a popular misconception out there that if you're a Democrat (or leaning in that direction) that you believe in free sex, drugs and massive government and that you don't support the military or freedom of religion.

Blue Dog,

I too hate the "holier than thou" attitude of the GOP. They definitely feel their morals are stonger than the Democrats. However, we should not attack a 17 year old pregnant child to "even the score" with the GOP. If we do, we are guilty of what the GOP accuses us of.

bluedog - i am also for free sex because paying for it is illegal in most states. Kidding of course - I think there are many democrats that really are moderate. Bill Clinton was really a pretty moderate president - he lowered taxes. People also tend to forget that he did cheat on the first lady in the white house. That's pretty moderate.

Hey come on it's Friday - and I am ready for November 5th!
